Event Date
Community members observing Ramadan have additional meal options available during the fasting period from February 28-March 29. Additional Halal menu options will be offered to all dining commons guests during Ramadan as well as frozen, pre-prepared Halal meals in the residential markets for Aggie Cash. To receive to-go containers, students will need to swipe for the containers in addition to their meal at the dining commons.
Suhoor
To-go containers are available during Ramadan during all meal periods for students who are fasting. You may get food for the following morning from any available dining station, and ask a cashier for a to-go container. Additional breakfast to-go items will be available upon request during dinner meal service at all dining commons during Ramadan. You may get both breakfast items and any additional items that are currently being served in the dining commons. In addition, to-go cups are also available upon request to fill with water, juice, etc.
To get your to-go container and/or breakfast items just ask any dining staff member when you're in the DC.
Iftar
Dining commons will continue normal dinner service hours which extend after sunset for breaking your fast. In addition to the normal rotation of menu items available, several breakfast for dinner nights have been added during Ramadan (check the online menu for dates). Breakfast for dinner will feature an expanded menu of breakfast items that can be enjoyed for Iftar or taken to go for Suhoor. Campus food trucks and residential markets will also continue their later evening hours of operation for additional meal options following sundown.
