Rosemary Bread, Tea, and Games

Join the Resident Garden Coordinators and the Sustainability Team to learn how to make rosemary bread, make tea with herbs from the garden and spend time with friends as we enjoy refreshments and play games.

2024 Earth Day Art Contest

Earth Day is a celebration of everything wonderful about the planet that sustains us, and a call for action to preserve and protect it. To mark the occasion, we are inviting you to get inspired and create a work of art on Earth Day 2024 based on the theme “Planet vs. Plastics”.

Your creation can take different forms, including painting, drawing, embroidery, crochet, knitting, poetry, fashion, photography, digital art. 2024 Contest Timeline:

  • Submissions Accepted: Monday, April 1 until Friday, April 12 at 11:59 pm
  • Submissions displayed online: Starting on Monday, April 15
  • Voting Opens: Monday, April 15 until Friday, April 26 at 11:59 pm
  • Winners Announced: Monday, April 29 on the Sustainability Newsletter

The three most-voted art pieces will win the first, second and third place.

Join us at the Resident Gardens!

We are so excited to welcome our residents back in our gardens! Look at the volunteer hours below for the Winter Quarter schedule. In the meantime, Join the Resident Garden Discord to stay up on the latest happenings in the resident garden.

Resident Garden @ Segundo – located between Bixby Hall and the Segundo Dining Commons

  • Mondays: 12:00-2:00 pm
  • Wednesdays: 12:00-2:00 pm
  • Fridays: 10:00-12:00 pm

Resident Garden @ Tercero located near the main entrance to Latitude.

  • Mondays: 10:00-12:00 pm
  • Tuesdays: 1:00-3:00 pm
  • Thursdays: 1:00-3:00 pm

Adopt-A-Plot Residents can also adopt a plot in the Segundo or Tercero garden for one quarter or longer to steward their own garden space. Adopt-a-plotters will have access to garden materials and mentorship.
