The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF) Fall Grant Cycle Applications Open!

Do you have a sustainable project, research, or event you'd like to implement at UC Davis? You can get up to $20,000 in funding by applying for a TGIF grant! TGIF gives grants to UC Davis students, staff, or faculty members for project proposals that improve sustainability and benefit undergraduates. Some previous TGIF-granted projects include the Freedges, the Sheepmowers, and the Arboretum Texas Tree Trials. Click here for more examples of previously granted projects!

Sustainability will be tabling this week at all three Dining Commons. Join us and learn more about proper waste sorting in your buildings.

  • Monday @ Segundo DC from 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Tuesday @ Tercero DC from 6:00-8:00 pm
  • Thursday @ Cuarto DC from 6:00-8:00 pm

You will also have the opportunity to get answers about what is recyclable, what is compostable, and what goes in the landfill. Pssst!!! You can get some prizes by participating in our tabling activity...

Be Part of Aggies Give N Go!

 9 Days Until Move-Out! 

Student Housing and Dining Services will be collecting donations of gently used reusable goods and non-perishable foods during finals week as residents move out of the residence halls. These items are donated to on-campus and local community partners so they can continue to be used by others. 

You will find Donation Stations at each Res Hall building lobby and at Regan Main lobby for the Regan area. We will begin to collect items starting, Friday, June 7 until Thursday, June 13. Take a look at the items we will be accepting:

Embrace the art of zero-waste shopping! Come to this workshop and learn the benefits and "how-to" of zero waste and bulk shopping, including the use of reusable bags and containers, shopping plastic-free and more! You will have the opportunity to decorate tote bags and mason jars to shop with style.

The Resident Garden Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Resident Garden spaces at Segundo or Tercero, including garden maintenance and planting, hosting open volunteer hours and workdays, and facilitating garden-centered educational workshops and programs.
