Debriefing Midterms and Study Skills
Let's take a moment to reflect on our midterm results, using them as an opportunity to identify areas for growth and enhance our future performance.
Here is a list of helpful tips for your upcoming exams:
1. Reflect on previous exam experiences and outcomes. Consider asking the following questions:
Which topics did I struggle with the most?
How well did I manage my time during the exam?
What resources and study techniques were most effective in preparing for the exam?
Which materials were represented the most (lecture, textbook, readings, etc.)?
What could I do differently to prepare for the next exam?
2. Contact your professor and teaching assistants
Attend office hours for clarification on previous material
Ask to review your exam
Clarify rubric content or grading policy
Ask about study or writing tips
Request future study guides or review sessions
