What to Know about Accommodations in the DCs

You’ve made it through midterms! Congratulations, and we hope you enjoy the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. As you’re getting to know the dining commons, let’s go over all of the accommodations that we offer, including our dietary support program, just ask program and all that we do to accommodate religious observations.

Dietary Support Program

DSP provides alternative meal options and other support resources to hundreds of student residents with dietary restrictions, and functions out of our three Residential Dining Commons (Segundo, Tercero, and Cuarto DC).

Explore the program.

Religious Observations

Do you observe Ramadan, Lent or Passover? If so, the dining commons have accommodations for you. You can learn more about how SHDS can support you by keeping an eye out for flyers around the building or asking a staff member.

Ramadan (February 17 - March 19, 2026)

Lent (February 18 - April 2, 2026)

Passover (April 1 - April 9)

Just Ask

Want a burrito with no meat? Want extra cheese? When in doubt, just ask us for any modifications.

Try a Taste

Ask a chef at any platform for a taste of a dish before committing to a whole plate. Not only can this help you decide, but it’s also a sustainable way to cut down on food waste!

We Want to Hear From You!

Did you try a new dish and have thoughts? We want to hear your honest opinions, both if you loved something or think a dish needs to be improved. Through Text and Tell, chefs and supervisors instantly get your feedback and can use it to make immediate improvements when possible, talk with management working on site and shape our future menus.
