Calling all graphic designers and artists. We're hosting a design contest for our damage reduction shirt program.  Four of your favorite designs will be picked via community vote for this year's tees that will be given out to res hall communities this spring! 

What is the Damage Reduction Program?

We love that our students take pride in keeping their community clean and undamaged.  We want to reward that care with a free tee shirt! The process is simple, each community has a declining balance budget to clean and repair your space. When avoidable, non-routine cleaning and repair are required the amount gets deducted from your community balance.  This keeps our spaces in good condition and avoids monetary charges to you!

In the spring each community who has used less than their allocated cleaning/repair amount will get to pick their favorite design and each community member will receive a free tee shirt!!!

Design Contest Rules and Requirements

1. Design will go on the back of all white shirt
2. Must be no more than 2 colors
3. Art must be 100% original and not include any licensed or trademark materials
4. Submitted designs must adhere to UC Davis Principles of Community to be eligible for voting
5. Art should be sent in original design files.  Cannot use screen designers like Custom Ink or Zazzle.
6. Designs must be submitted by Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

7. Any art submitted will become the property of Student Housing and Dining Services and may be edited to make viable for screen printing

Designs do not need to be expressly damage reduction themed unless desired by the artist.

The Prize!

 Each of the artists who create the four winning designs will win $200 in Aggie Cash!

Vote For Your Favorite

Damage reduction shirts are for you, by you and you get to select the winners.  Check back in the Aggie Reader and on LCD slides in the community to vote for your favorite designs between January 17 - 26, 2024.
