  • Scholarships & Funding Highlights:
    • The Global Aggies Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights supports student involvement in research or creative work, internships/externships, or other projects that advance the rights and/or wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ people globally, including through international, USA-based, or virtual activity. Application opens on January 8, 2025 and application deadline is February 26, 2025.
    • The UC Davis Study Abroad Awards support UC Davis undergraduate student participation in UC Davis Study Abroad Internship programs. Awards range from $500 to $2,000. The application opens on December 4, 2024 and the deadline is January 7, 2025.
    • The UC Davis Global Learning Awards support UC Davis undergraduate student participation in UC Davis Study Abroad Internship programs. Awards range from $500 to $1,000. The application opens on December 4, 2024 and the deadline is January 12, 2025.

University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP)

UCEAP offers internship opportunities of various lengths. UCEAP internships offer intercultural skills to build great work relationships. You can find more information about UCEAP internship programs here. Students can also add on an internship to many UCEAP Study Abroad programs.

Applications will open November 14, 2024 for summer 2025, and November 20, 2024 for fall and year 2025-26. Spring 2026 applications will open April 15, 2025. Create a Global Learning Profile to express interest in programs.

UC Davis Summer Abroad Internships

Open to all students. Earn 6-8 units in 4-8 weeks. Financial aid applies! Internships provide students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in diverse fields such as Global Health, Education, Animal & Veterinary Science, Psychology, Business and Communication,  Engineering and Computer Science, and Environment, Green Tech, and Sustainability. Create a Global Learning Profile to receive email updates about programs that interest you.

UC Davis Virtual Summer Internships

Intern 20-30 hours per week remotely while earning UC Davis credit. Open to all students. Virtual Summer Internships allow students to work remotely while earning UC Davis credit and connecting with professionals around the globe. Create a Global Learning Profile to receive email updates about programs that interest you.

Global Skills and Leadership Opportunities

U21 Global Citizens Program

The U21 Global Citizens Programs is a free, online leadership development opportunity offered in March where students will develop leadership skills whilst tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges, outlined in the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals. Open to undergraduate and graduate students of all disciplines. Application deadline is February 19, 2025. Express interest to learn more.

Global Ambassador Mentorship Program

Incoming undergrad international students, apply now to receive a peer mentor! Your mentor can be your go-to resource for information about student life at UC Davis as well as campus resources and events. Meet other students and make new friends at our social events! Submit a Poster Submission for the 2025 Global Learning Conference

The Global Learning Hub will be hosting the 5th annual Global Learning Conference on Saturday, April 5, 2025! During the conference, the Hub will highlight individual students’ global learning experiences through posters to showcase the variety of global learning opportunities available at UC Davis. The deadline to submit a poster submission is Friday, December 20, 2024.

Global Learning with a Social Impact

UC Davis Widening Circles: Global Social Impact Program

The UC Davis Widening Circles program is a fully-funded program that provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to engage in an online curriculum focused on ethical global engagement and social change. Students will join a shared online learning platform for ongoing critical dialogue and reflection while exploring the complexities of striving for justice across differences of culture and power.
