Let's Start the Year Sustainably

After unpacking, make sure waste goes to the right place.

Welcome new Aggies! We hope that Moove-in week went smoothly for you all. As you finish unpacking things and waste starts to accumulate, make sure you take it to the right place in your building. Here are some tips:

  • Take all waste to the waste rooms on your building/floor. If you are not sure where they are, check them here
  • Get familiar with waste sorting. On the link above, you will also find tips to get you familiar with waste streams across Student Housing and Dining.
  • Avoid leaving room waste in hallways, lounges, laundry rooms, or bathrooms. Take them to your nearest waste room.
  • Avoid placing cardboard boxes down waste chutes or leaving them in upper-floor waste rooms, lounges, or bathrooms. Find specific instructions here.
