What is a Basic Needs Advocate?

Hey Aggies! It’s a priority for us in Student Housing and Dining Services to make sure that all your basic needs are met so you can focus on school and making connections on campus. We know that college is expensive, and if you experience any financial concerns, such as overdue housing fees, accessing enough food, or providing for yourself (insurance, transportation, sanitation, etc) we have several resources to assist you. My name is Jessica and I am the Basic Needs Advocate for the department. I can meet with you to determine your needs and help you access financial and basic needs resources available to students across campus.
