ASUCD's Aggie Mentorship Committee is now accepting applications for both mentors and mentees through September 15.
The committee pairs experienced students with transfer/freshman students to help new students adjust to life here at UC Davis. Our committee aims to help build friendships and help provide new students with guidance while also allowing established students to help new students forward. There will be in-person events, fun games, and exciting new opportunities to meet some amazing people.
Aggie Mentors Mission:
Aggie Mentors is a peer mentoring program that pairs new aggies, both freshman and transfer students, with established students. This mentorship is intended to provide a sense of support and friendship, answer any questions, and overall help incoming students acclimate to college life at UC Davis.
For Mentees - Reasons to Join:
- Access to more resources regarding your new school and home
- an immediate friend on campus
- someone to answer your questions and help you navigate courses, clubs, and all things UC Davis
For Mentors - Reasons to Join:
- Support students who come from similar backgrounds and positions as yourself
- Build a relationship with someone new
- A chance to share your own experiences and give back to a new student
