Preparing for Finals: Finals Week and End-of-Quarter Tips

Finals can be stressful, but we’ve got you covered! Here are some tips on preparing for your exams and projects, as well as some helpful resources.

Plan Ahead

Create a calendar to help you space out your studying
Don't forget to take breaks! Remember to eat and get enough sleep
Pick up more study tips, workshops and resources from the Office of Educational Opportunity and Enrichment Services (OEOES) website

Prioritize end of the quarter/year projects assignments early so that you have enough time to study for finals
Connect with your classmates and form study groups

Attend your professor or TA’s office hours:
- Make the most of office hours by preparing questions beforehand
Attend tutoring
- Get support provided by Academic Assistance and Tutoring Services (AATC)
- Residential Academic Centers provide tutoring from 6-9 pm on select weekdays
  - MAT & CHEM tutoring:
    - Tercero: Monday & Tuesday
    - Segundo: Tuesday & Wednesday
    - Cuarto: Wednesday & Thursday
  - Writing Tutoring:
    - Tercero: Monday
    - Segundo: Tuesday
    - Cuarto: Wednesday
