On-Campus Resources for Students with Families
It’s National Student-Parent Month! Parents are the true heroes of this world, and it’s no small feat to juggle school at the same time. In honor of all our students with families that live on campus with us, we wanted to give you all some important information about what resources are available to you.
Childcare 101
Need some help with your little ones? The UC Davis Student Parents website is a great resource that breaks down all your options for childcare. They can also help with academic support, events, activities for your children, crisis support services, financial support, scholarships and more.

We are listing the following resources to help students find critical support that can supplement what the university provides. This list is compiled based on student feedback and is not an endorsement. Students should conduct their own research in vetting any external resources for their unique needs.
Food pantry
The ASUCD Food Pantry states that no UC Davis student should miss a meal or live without basic necessities. The pantry’s goal is dedicated to addressing food insecurity among students and the Aggie Community. It’s an amazing resource for free groceries, food items, fresh produce, pantry staples and non-perishable goods.
How can you place an order?

Transfer and Reentry Center
The Transfer and Reentry Center (TRC) is a wonderful resource for student parents. They are there to answer your questions, help you adjust to UC Davis and give you a referral for your specific concerns. Some of their resources include:
CCAMPIS student parent scholars - funding for childcare and related services to promote the success of student parents
Priority registration - get an earlier pass time for course registration

There are also resources for a part-time petition letter, babysitter directory, urban sitter gift cards and student-parent manual on their resource page dedicated to student parents.
They are located at 1210 Dutton Hall. Follow them on their Instagram at @trcucdavis to stay up to date.
