The residence halls will be closing for winter break on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. (noon) and will reopen Friday, January 5, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. During this period student may not stay within the residence halls. Student Housing and Dining Services is partnering with local hotels to provide discounted rates for students who may need a place to stay during part or all of winter break.

AggieFacilities (TRIRIGA), the Facilities Management Work Order System, will be offline for maintenance Friday September 29, 2023 from 5:30 p.m. to Sunday October 1, 2023 5:00 p.m. During the maintenance period, the application will be unavailable and work orders will not be able to be submitted.

Meet the residential dining leadership team who oversee the day to day operations of the dining commons and help keep our community full. Our dining team includes many additional people who play a critical role in our operation including the front of house staff, kitchen staff, the retail dining team, and many more behind the scenes staff who manage everything from purchasing ingredients to assessing nutritional content of recipes. We're all looking forward to sharing a meal with you soon!
Monday, September 25, 2023 the Dining Commons (DCs) reopen for service for the academic year. All meal plan holders should be aware of an important change to policy for swiping into meals. Effective Fall 2023,all residents must swipe their physical Aggie Card to enter the DCs for meals.
Professional staff manages the student staff and offers additional support including academic and leadership support, and guidance regarding policies and conflict resolution. Resident Directors plan and facilitate programming in the residence halls, providing residents with opportunities to get involved and nurturing healthy communities according to the UC Davis "Principles of Community." They also oversee the Community Assistants (CAs) and work with the After Hours Assistants (AHAs) who are responsible for helping with after hours facilities and custodial issues.
